Starting off then with a little silliness from last weekend’s Gloucester event. That’s my chap in the middle, he was in full Count Rostov mode at that point and MCd the Saturday night event.
My lovely chap has some health problems at the moment. If you’re friends with him, he’s posted on Facebook about what’s going on, check in there. It means we won’t be doing an online festival this January, and the podcast project is on hold. Beyond that, we’ll have to wait and see but hopefully by the spring he’ll be fine.
Obviously this is all going to be challenging but I’m going to do my best to keep everything running normally.
On the blog I’ve been thinking about the related issues of overcoming perfectionism and taking myself seriously. I’m also thinking about the relationship between Druidry and Christianity - I’m brewing a larger project here and I’ll be talking about it as we go along.
Rather than doing my usual substack shoutout this week, I’m asking you to keep an eye out for Substackers Against Nazis and to share those posts to help. This site has issues, and part of the reason I’m here is that I want to challenge that where I can. Share these in your notes please, here’s one from Bitter Karella
On the writing front, I’m currently focused on a project that Dr Abbey has got me involved with. I look forward to being able to say more about it. What I can say for now is that it’s steampunk, a bit bonkers and is using a larger array of my skills set than I normally have to call on.
To finish up, here’s an image I did for a story by Steven C Davis - you can find the story here. https://hopeless-maine.co.uk/2023/12/15/dry-gulch/
Have restacked the anti-Nazi letter with a note. I'm so tired of this crap. I wish the corporate world had more backbone and fewer dollar signs where their eyeballs ought to be.
