The early goblin gets the worm
It’s me, I’m the early goblin - I normally do these on a Friday but we have a band road trip ahead of a gig at the weekend. We’re on at 4pm in Borth in Wales - that’s in the Jessica Law and the Outlaws configuration.
Last weekend I was out in the street for fairy shenanigans. I’m definitely more of a goblin than anything cute. Here’s a photo of me being weird, with my gloriously odd offspring and the aforementioned Jessica Law, who is here dressed as a fly agaric mushroom. These are my people.
I’ve been talking about fairy events on the blog, Druidry and Projection and the cover for my new book, amongst other things.
After The Goblin Masquerade at the weekend, I’m doing an interview next week - so there should be a link for that in the next newsletter. I’m also going to a Johnny Coppin gig and a re-enactors market so whether I’ll have much time to write remains to be seen. I’m mostly focused on small pieces people have asked for at the moment, but I should be back on the hopepunk soon.
The gigs are lining up well at the moment. I guess it doesn’t hurt to remind people that Jessica Law and the Outlaws gig in the UK. Jessica is a songwriter with a lot of folk and mythology in her creative DNA. This is a band well suited to Pagan, fairy, folk and steampunk spaces. Carnival of Cryptids is not currently venturing outside of Gloucestershire, is folk based singing group and ideal for community events. I’m happy to give talks with my Druid hat on, or if there’s something you think I could do I’m open to suggestions. The same is true on the writing front - I can be commissioned.
And…. Happy World Book Day!
