Small Gods and other gigs
Small Gods - as per the above image, is a recently released animist publication to which I’ve contributed. You can get copies here - https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1767555799/small-gods-1-animist-zine-spirits-nature
or read more about the project over here - https://forestdoor.wordpress.com/2024/07/25/small-gods/
Also I cannot remember if I previously announced the arrival into the world of Harvey Duckman’s flash fiction collection Hell hath no fury - I’m in that, too.
My next gig will be on the 3rd August when I’ll be playing electric violin for the Swing Rioters as part of Weston Super Mare shanty festival. After that it’s Heart Festival, at Gaunts House in Dorset, which looks absolutely stunning. Come along and demand that I write poetry for you in situ!
On the writing front I spent this week finishing the first draft of my current non-fiction book on spirits of place. Bards and Dreamers, Steampunk Druids and Epics over on Patreon will see that at a rate of a chapter per month. I aim to bring it out for everyone else at some point early next year.
Over on the blog I’ve been talking about dressing up, jackdaws who might be omens and the Alice in Wonderland inspired book I’ve been involved with. You can order a copy of said book over here - https://ko-fi.com/s/a09d1f40ed
I’ve also reviewed Steven C Davis’ novel Hurnungaz - https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2024/07/26/folk-horror-in-the-forest/
