Outlaws and other oddities
This is a photo from last weekend of Jessica Law and The Outlaws performing at Stroud Steampunk weekend. It went well, people said nice things. No one threw anything. I love this band, it’s a wonderful thing to be part of.
On the Sunday, Keith Errington, James Weaselgrease and I did an introduction to Hopeless, Maine. It was really speaking a thinly veiled plot to generate content from the blog. This led to three islanders, a horde of new creatures and a fabulous chap making a dustcat. You can find the first of the new islanders over here -https://hopeless-maine.co.uk/2023/08/11/do-not-bury-david-feasey/
Over on the Druid Life blog I’ve reviewed Maria DeBlassie’s latest book -https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2023/08/04/conversations-with-the-tarot/
I’ve also shared some things from a recent trip - having been to a place that features in a Welsh myth and having had some thoughts about what the landscape might say about the story. https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2023/08/08/thoughts-from-llyn-tegid/
Here we have a video taken at Raising Steam (thank you Mark!) a couple of weeks ago - this is The Ominous Folk of Hopeless, Maine and we’ve mostly been more than our original line-up of four in recent months. Those of you who are not thrown by changes of hats (this throws me reliably) will note that three of us are also Outlaws, and that Jessica is often Ominous. Here we’re singing James’s song about demon devices, which he leads. He’s going to be twenty one next week and I’m not honestly sure how this happened, but there he is, fabulous, technically a grownup and an excellent accomplice for all kinds of shenanigans.
My final bit of news is that there’s a massive ebook sale going on this month and many of my books are in it! I’ve put my link below, but it’s worth noting that the entire Moon Books imprint is in this and there are a lot of awesome Pagan titles at half price, so do get in there!
