News of the apocalypse
The big news is that the Harvey Duckman contribution - mentioned in last week’s newsletter - was accepted. It’s a bit of a Transition Towns kind of tale, pushing against the grimdark places post apocalyptic stories often go. Mark Hayes - whose book I’m reading on the photo - is how I’ve ended up doing this.
There’s an array of topics on Druid Life this week, including pagan parenting around children and ghosts, contemplating anger ,and a new book review. I’ve also been poking around in body science and have run into some dramatic stuff - https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2023/05/14/happiness-is-not-a-luxury/
I do a fair amount of book reviewing, so I’m always worth a prod if you have something coming out. I also take guest blogs and am happy to promote Pagan writers, steampunks and anyone else who thinks their work plausibly aligns with my audience.
The next gig for The Ominous Folk is in Gloucestershire on the 3rd June- details on the flier below. After that, I have to start seriously thinking about The Drag King In Yellow.
May all your squeaks be little ones…
