Music laden mayhem
This is Jessica Law and the Outlaws opening the Goblin Masquerade evening in Borth. It was a great night and we all danced outrageously afterwards.
It’s being a music-orientated sort of week although I’ve also got the first draft down on a monster story for an anthology I’ve been asked to contribute to. I’ve been interviewed - although the podcast won’t go live until May. Over on the blog I’ve written about the strange forest on Borth’s beach and I’ve had a massive gush about my wonderful partner, in celebration of his birthday. There are also some Druidic topics covered - I out up a new post every day.
I’ve made a little music recording - mainly to pass a tune on to the Carnival of Cryptids crew as we’ll be singing this in the streets of Gloucester. This is Jessica Law and the Outlaws, as we put this song in the set for fairy events. tune by Dan Evans, words by Michèle Welborn based on the novel Lud in the Mist.
There will be more music as Jessica Law and the Outlaws are opening the evening part of the Spring Fairy Winding in Gloucester on the 23rd March - tickets and more details here https://www.divinemagicrealm.com/store/prod_8014023-Spring-Faery-Wingding-Adult-Ticket-Saturday-23rd-March-2024.html
I’ll also be giving a talk at some point - an introduction to Druidry, and Carnival of Cryptids should be singing on the Sunday - the daytime events are all free, so do come along to The Folk of Gloucester if you are around.
If all goes to plan, next week’s newsletter will have more writing-related stuff in it.
