Greetings and salutations!
Currently my thinking is that I’ll do a weekly roundup of stuff that’s going on, starting with whatever strikes me as most exciting. I’ve cunningly started this on a week that’s mostly been about sorting out some massive things on the home front, but, that will result in more of the public facing exciting stuff in the very foreseeable future.
This week I heard that I’ve got a story in the next Harvey Duckman anthology, which I’m delighted about. It’s a very silly steampunk piece involving The Yule Badger.
This coming weekend I’ll be at The Folk of Gloucester with Robin’s Minstrels - this is a big band project, bringing together a number of very interesting people, including Jessica Law (The Mechanisms, The Magnus Archives) who I’m hoping to work with musically. We’re getting ready for Beltain at Woodchester Mansion -

where we will have six or seven people on stage for the final part of the Ominous Folk set, rather than the usual four of us.
New Fiction out this week - a bit of Hopeless, Maine oddness https://hopelessvendetta.wordpress.com/2023/04/21/the-secret-lives-of-night-potatoes/
I’ve blogged every day on Druid Life, I’m picking out a couple of those to recommend - this is the post in which I pick a fight with my ancestors and The Ancient Mariner https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2023/04/18/albatross-stories/
And this is a warm, inclusive sort of post about children in ritual https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2023/04/19/children-in-ritual/
If you go to ‘home’ on the blog you can scroll down for the rest of it, should you feel so moved.
Thank you for signing up for this, it will no doubt evolve as I go along. There are a ton of things in development that I’m very excited about and I’m looking forward to being able to share those things as they happen.
All the best,
Nimue

Excited to see you here on Substack! I feel like it’s been hard to find druid, pagan, witchcraft, etc content on here. I’m hoping they work to improve the discoverability algorithm especially since introducing Notes.
