Hearts, Harveys and other book news
By the time this lands in your inbox I should be on the road to Dorset, for Heart Festival. I’m going to spend the weekend being their poet in residence - I have never done anything like this before and have no idea how it’s going to work. I have bought a dedicated notebook and a lot of pens, and the rest is just going to depend on magic, I think.
The Harvey news is that while I was being ill, the new Harvey Duckman flash fiction collection came out. Keith and I both have stories in it. You can find it over here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/FLASH-MOB-Turn-Back-Time-ebook/dp/B0DC4PDXK2
In other book news, my publisher is currently working on Fast Food at the Centre of the World, I’ve handed Fast Fashion at the Centre of the World in, and the two should be coming out together in the autumn. I’ve started work on the non-text side of the covers, and I will waft that your way at some point.
On the blog I have posts about the unconscious mind, believing in each other, relationships, and the art of contemplation. I’ve also got a guest post from Chris Mole - his fabulous comic Brigantia has just launched a new campaign on kickstarter and you can find out more about that here - https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2024/08/22/brigantia-2/
I’ve got a couple of gigs coming up with Swing Rioters in September - Severn Meadows festival on the 6th September, and a pub gig in Upton on Severn on the 14th. Jessica Law and the Outlaws will be playing for the Autumn Fairy Windings in Gloucester on the 28th September, and I’ll also be talking about Mabon and the autumn equinox at that event.
