Happy New Year!
This is an image I’ve borrowed from one of my publishers - Sloth Comics, who you can find on Facebook, Bluesky and Twitter. The art is by Fnic. I hope the festive period has treated you kindly and that this new year brings you good things.
I have been working over Christmas - mostly as a book technician on someone else’s project. I’m nearly through the first draft, and it is eating my brain a bit.
I started the year with an interview which you can read over here -
I’ve got some exciting stuff going on musically, which you can read about here and here. All being well I’ll be opening next week’s newsletter with a photo of a violin. Also on the blog I have a review for a YA novel based on Irish mythology. https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2024/01/02/a-curse-of-magick/
I’ve also go a new singing project on the move - more of that over here https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2023/12/28/seasonal-singing/
I’m desperately uncomfortable about how the owners of this platform are dealing with overtly Nazi content, but I’ve made the decision to stay. I am still on Twitter, Youtube and Facebook which are also massively problematic in their own ways. Untainted platforms probably aren’t a thing. My thinking is that staying and resisting and offering alternatives might be meaningful, but I entirely support the friends who have chosen to leave this platform. If you don’t want to be here any more and do want to stay in touch, following my blog is a good bet, or find me on another site, I am all over the place.
It’s a good time to be thinking about the future, so here’s a reminder that you can pick up Druidry and the Future as a free ebook from my ko-fi store (or pay what you like)
