Folk urchins and fictions
Here we were at Folk At The Folk last weekend - an excellent event put together by Robin Burton at The Folk of Gloucester. Photo by Nikki Price. We did a mix of Ominous Folk repertoire and Jessica Law and the Outlaws repertoire and it worked very well indeed. Our next gig is also at The Folk on the 7th October when we will have more fairy material. I’m looking forward to working on that over the coming weekends.
I’ve just finished a book over on Patreon, with the final instalment of Pagan Pilgrimage now up - if you sign up on Patreon you can sift through all the material I posted before you joined. I’m not sure where this book will be going - news as soon as I have any. The next Pagan Patreon project will be a book on Spirits of Place, starting next month. https://www.patreon.com/NimueB
Aside from the regular blogging, I’ve got two new pieces of fiction out this week. There’s some messing with fairy tales on Druid Life - https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2023/09/21/say-my-name/
And I’m very excited to be jamming with a new (to me) artist over on the Hopeless Maine blog https://hopeless-maine.co.uk/2023/09/22/the-forlorn-bird/
There’s a podcast project in development, I’m underway with gothic novella number three, picking out new songs to learn for Christmas and poised to read and review a poetry collection by Despoina Kemeridou. I am also managing to sleep and get out for adventures and shenanigans.
Wishing you all good things. Thank you for reading, and shares on social media are hugely appreciated.
