Egrets, wizards and other magic
The big news for this week is that I’ve put an old novel of mine - Hunting the Egret - out as a paperback and ebook. The first version of this was written over ten years ago. It’s gothic, and sexy and troubled. Not suitable for younger readers, and with some uneasy themes around trauma and recovery. It is ultimately a hopeful sort of book, and I think the recovery looms larger than the trauma.
There’s magic, shapeshifting, Pagan themes, messy romance, family trauma, and abuse in here so it’s quite a mix of things.

I’ve put the ebook version on ko-fi and that’s a pay what you like option. Including just taking a free book. There are lots of free books in my ko-fi store, so if you’re new to my work (hello new subscribers!) do have a look round and see what you fancy. I do an assortment of things.

On the wizarding front, I had the opportunity to spend some time with Dr Abbey this week and there’s a bit about that on the blog https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2023/09/06/creative-adventures/ Other posts for this week are mostly Druid-topics - plants, blessings and ancestors.
Over on the Hopeless, Maine side there’s a new story from Keith Errington, which you can read here - https://hopeless-maine.co.uk/2023/09/08/entangled/
On the writing side, I have the first draft of my second gothic novella, and one more to write. I should be getting started on the bones for a podcast series soon - this is a new project for the winter and I’m VERY excited about it. I’ll tell you more as we go along.
The next gig is in the poster below, I have things going every month for the rest of this year and am starting to book up for next year as well, happily.
