Books, other books, more books
I’m starting out this week by waving David Bridger’s book at you. David and I write together on a fiction project, and David also contributes to the Druid Life blog. As he’s limited for energy, (disability is a significant feature of his book) I try and get in here and there to promote his writing. He’s a wise and compassionate soul and this book is a really interesting read.
With the recent release of the final graphic novel in the Hopeless, Maine series, I’ve been talking about that a lot. On Patreon - readable without signing up - there’s a post about the series as a whole https://www.patreon.com/posts/graphic-novels-91203789
On the Hopeless site, there’s more about how I see things progressing from here - https://hopeless-maine.co.uk/2023/10/20/there-are-survivors/ and on the Druid Life blog I’ve written about the question of evil in the books - https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2023/10/25/survivors-2/
My other significant book news for this week is that I’ve started a new non-fiction title about spirits of place. I’ll be doing this via Patreon initially. Tiers that get this each month are Bards and Dreamers, Glass Herons and Steampunk Druids.
This week my substack shoutout is for Cat Treadwell, who reviews books -
Otherwise, I’m currently trying to fix a novel I started some 15 years ago and failed to finish. I’m waiting for book blurbs to come back from people who are test reading Druidry and Pilgrimage, and I’m about to get going with a Christmas music project and thinking about goblin markets.
Bit more book…
