A quiet week by my standards
I’m a bit beaten up in this photo, having had an exciting selection of body-fails this week. However, I’ve made flower crowns for some of the Ominous Folk for those Midsommar murder vibes. Last weekend I was at a book launch and then a battle re-enactment so it’s been good having a quieter few days.
This week has involved plotting for a Hopeless, Maine computer game, writing fiction and being a limp noodle.
I have JW Summerisle as a guest poet on my blog - https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2023/07/12/niddhoggr-upon-reacing-a-definition-of-whats-wrong/
David Bridger has also blogged with me - https://druidlife.wordpress.com/2023/07/11/rituals/
And there’s a few new ones of my own on the site as well.
This weekend is going to involve more Outlaws rehearsal and music with Robin Burton. Next weekend I’ve got gigs at Raising Steam and Festival at the Edge - both are great events and I heartily recommend going. Raising Steam will also be Keith Errington’s debut as a solo performer, having been out a few times now with The Ominous Folk and Jessica Law’s Outlaws.
Excitingly, the Raising Steam album is already out, so do check that out, there is an Ominous Folk song on there written by James Weaselgrease and my favourite of Keith’s self-penned songs.
Our local Stroud event is also on the horizon…
