New spells and small plots
I put Spells for the Second Sister out last year, with a different cover. The first cover was a bit on the gloomy side and didn’t really represent the book - which is a madcap speculative thing with a lot of comedy in it. I’ve thus far done the easier job of fixing the ebook version - https://ko-fi.com/s/f312aa059a
I’ll be sorting out the print version shortly, and also getting the first two Wherefore books onto Amazon as well - hopefully next week for all of that.
I’ve got a poetry collection on the way and should have that out in May. I’ve spent some time this week plotting how everything else is going to fit together, and have realised I can afford to spend the rest of April sorting out things like Wherefore, and event stuff and obsessing over early recorder music and so forth.
In May I’m going to focus on a short Pagan book I think people might find helpful. In June I’m going to properly plan the folk horror novel that I’ve set my heart on writing. Some books I just wing, but the structure is going to be really important for this one, so I have 13 chapters to figure out.
I’ve been all over the place on the Druid Life blog - animism, writing tips, positivity, seeds, becoming a bard and a review for Arran Stibbe’s excellent new book Econarrative
On the Hopeless, Maine blog I’m turning people who volunteered into islanders, which I’m finding entertaining
I’m going to be supporting a Ukrainian Festival in Gloucester over the coming weekends. The next gig is Carnival of Cryptids who are singing as part of that at The Folk of Gloucester on the 20th April at 2pm.
